Adopted Technical Codes
The City of Federal Heights adopts technical codes on a regular basis. Some codes are amended to better meet the needs of the City. For details on the amendments follow the ordinance link provided. Please note that the State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) administers all electrical permits and inspections for the City of Federal Heights.

On March 7, 2023, City Council adopted the 2021 ICC Codes (excepting the Energy Conservation Code which will remain adopted as the 2018 edition) with Ordinance 23-02.
These codes will take effect on April 15, 2023 based upon the application date for all permits.

On January 19, 2021, City Council adopted the 2018 ICC Codes with Ordinance 21-01.
These codes took effect on February 1, 2021 based upon the application date for all permits.
