The history of Federal Heights is short but colorful. Click on the links of the mayors below to read their biographies. Each one is interesting and many of the City's former mayors led very accomplished and fascinating lives. Below are just a few highlights. Take a moment and get to know their fascinating stories.

The first mayor, Pasquale Lombardi was an Italian Immigrant who stopped by a soda fountain (Rainbow Hall) located at the corner of 88th and Federal and liked the place so much he traded his car (a nearly new REO Speedwagon) and $350 cash for the ownership of the place. He turned it into a lettuce crate factory with a saw mill in the back for a few years before opening it as Lombardi's Tavern or "The Place" as his family called it.
Mayor Robert Foster was passionate about starting a Fire Department and began it by raising money for the equipment with social events like dances, chicken or spaghetti dinners, bingos and stag parties.
Mayor Clarence Knoll contracted and survived the 1918 Spanish Flu.
Mayor Stuart Savery started off working as a clerk for his family's mushroom company (Golden State Mushrooms then Savery Savory Mushrooms) before becoming mayor and taking a passionate interest in the finances of the town.
