Vacation Time
All full-time employees accrue vacation leave beginning the first month of employment up to a maximum of 480 hours at the following rate:

Full-time firefighters accrue vacation leave beginning the first month of employment up to a maximum of 720 hours at the rates shown below. Part-time employees and firefighters who work at least 30 hours weekly accrue vacation leave at a pro-rated basis.

Sick Time
Regular full-time employees accrue sick leave at the rate of 8 hours per month of service to a maximum of 960 hours.
Part-time employees accrue sick leave at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked. Full-time firefighters accrue sick leave at the rate of 12 hours per month of service to a maximum of 1440 hours.
