Victim Services

The Federal Heights Police Department utilizes a Victims' Services Unit to provide support, information, and referrals to crime victims.  Victim Advocates are available on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week, utilizing paid and volunteer advocates.

Victim Advocates provide information about victims' rights, information about the applicable criminal cases, the criminal justice process, and information about victim compensation procedures.  Victim Advocates are trained to provide crisis intervention and emotional support and can provide referrals to emergency resources.

The Federal Heights Victim Services Unit is staffed by advocates who are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to the scene of a crime or accident at the request of a police officer.
