Volunteer Victim Advocate
The Federal Heights Victim Services Unit is accepting applications for volunteer Victim Advocates positions.
Victim Advocates provide on-scene contact with victims and witnesses of violent crimes, sudden death and other emergency situations.
Volunteers are required to:

Undergo a thorough background screening.

Complete 40 hours of training taught by professionals in the field.

Required to take four 12-hour on-call shifts each month, including holidays.

Must be able to respond to within 30 minutes of dispatch contact.

Be available by telephone or pager.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be self motivated.

Have strong interpersonal skills.

Be able to maintain confidential information.
-
Must be able to commit for at least 12 months.
