Santa will be joining the Federal Heights Fire Department in wishing residents the very merriest of holiday seasons on
Saturday, December 18, 2010.
Look and listen for the fire truck making its way through neighborhoods on Saturday morning.
Kids, you don’t want to land on Santa Claus’ naughty list by running out into the streets, so make sure to stand on the sidewalk when you wave to the firefighters and Santa.

Funeral Services for Joe Grein |
|
|
|
|
Monday, 19 October 2009 |
On Friday, October 16, 2009, Federal Heights Volunteer Firefighter Joe Grein was laid to rest in Brighton's Elmwood Cemetery. He had battled Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma for the last two years.
Federal Heights Fire and Police personnel, along with fire department personnel from other agencies around the metro area, held a processional down 90th Avenue, past the Fire Department, City Hall, and the Police Department, and on through Thornton to the services in Brighton. Federal Heights Engine 41 acted as Joe's hearse for the processional.
The burial was attended by fire department personnel from numerous other agencies, including (in no particular order) Ft. Lupton, Brighton, Westminster, Golden, North Washington, West Metro, Denver, Commerce City, Frederick/Firestone, Mountain View Fire, Inter Canyon Fire, Southwest Adams County, Castle Rock, Englewood, Littleton, and Thornton. Federal Heights would like to thank all of the other agencies for their assistance, support, and participation in this event.
Joe answered his symbolic Last Call from Dispatch at about 1:15 PM on Friday, with hundreds of people in attendance.
Ft. Lupton and North Washington aerial trucks hold a giant flag, while Joe Grein's casket is carried to the burial site through a corridor formed by his fellow firefighters from other metro agencies.
