SANTA CLAUS TEAMS WITH THE FEDERAL HEIGHTS
FIRE DEPARTMENT TO VISIT CITY RESIDENTS
Marking the 37th year of a Federal Heights
tradition, the Federal Heights Fire Department will provide Santa Claus a ride
on a fire truck as he visits every neighborhood in the City on Saturday,
December 15 between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Federal Heights Police units will escort Santa and the fire truck
throughout the City as he delivers 2,000 sacks of candy and good cheer to
children in the spirit of the holiday season.
Residents will know that Santa
is near when they hear the fire truck siren and horn. Parents are asked to accompany their children
as they wait at the curbside for Santa to arrive. For more information or to request
accommodations for those with special needs, please call the Fire Department at
303-427-7209.

|
|
|
|
Wednesday, 05 December 2012 |
|
Due to the upcoming forecast for inclement weather this has been rescheduled for December 15, 2012 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
The City of Federal Heights will be hosting a Child Car Seat Checkup Event on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm in the parking lot of the Federal Plaza Shopping Center in front of the Safeway at Federal Boulevard and West 104th Avenue.
Come take advantage of this FREE opportunity sponsored by the Aurora Police Department--in partnership with the Federal Heights Police and Fire Departments--and funded through a federal grant benefitting the metro region. Parents and caregivers are urged to have their children’s car seats checked. Certified child passenger safety technicians will be available to inspect car seats and provide hands-on advice free of charge.
Did you know that crashes are the leading cause of death for children from 3 to 14 years old? Ensure that you are doing everything possible to protect your child. For more information on child safety visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website at: http://www.nhtsa.gov./
If you are unable to attend this event, you may schedule an appointment with the Federal Heights Fire Department at a later date to have your child car seat inspected by calling 303-427-7209.
