Court is in session every other week with Trials on Mondays and Arraignments on Wednesdays. The Court office and Courtroom are located in the Federal Heights Municipal Building, which is between Federal Blvd and Pecos St. on 90th Avenue.

If you receive a ticket from a Federal Heights Police officer, it will indicate whether you must appear or have the early payment option. There are two (2) boxes on the ticket on the lower left side and if box A is checked, you must appear on your appearance date, failure to appear may result in a Bench Warrant. If box B is checked, you have the early payment option and there is an amount on your ticket for you to pay before your appearance date. The address to mail payment is on the back of the ticket or you may of course pay in person. If the ticket is not paid before your appearance date, you must appear, and the early payment option and decreased points is no longer an option.

No court dates are changed over the telephone; personal appearance is required. We accept MasterCard and Visa with proper photo identification; all payments must be made with cash, credit card, or money order or for an initial appearance, we do accept checks, unless there is a lien on the driver's license. No personal checks are accepted when posting a bond. We are now able to accept credit card payments via telephone.  Please contact the municipal court at 303-412-3538 with a valid Discover Card, MasterCard or Visa.
