The first year of the City of Federal Heights’ Yard-of-the-Month competition was not only successful, but the competition allowed the City to showcase just a few of the beautiful, well-maintained yards found all around the City of Federal Heights. City Council would like to once again honor the 2010 gardeners honored who make our City a more beautiful place to live.

City Council initiated the Yard-of-the Month program in 2010 to recognize and honor our neighbors who turn their yards into living works of art for the entire community to enjoy throughout the summer months. Each month during the summer (June– September), City Council will se-lect a yard located in the City of Federal Heights to be that month’s Yard-of-the-Month honoree. All single family properties in the City are eligible to be nominated.

The Yard-of-the-Month committee will be accepting nominations beginning June 6, 2011. Nominate yourself, your neighbors or both to the Yard- of-the Month committee chair:

Mike Cieszlak, Mayor Pro-Tem (Ward III),

This year each Yard-of-The-Month winners will also receive a $25.00 certificate donated by Hilltop Garden Center.
