UPDATE: Initial repairs on the water main leak on Alcott St. were completed at approximately 7:30 PM, but an additional leak was exposed when the water main was recharged.  Repairs to the second leak were completed and water service was restored at approximately 10:45 PM.  Crews will continue to work into the early morning hours to refill the excavation site.  Permanent asphalt repairs to Alcott St. will be scheduled for later this week or early next week.

Thank you to our dedicated Public Works crew, who must sometimes work late hours in all kinds of weather to serve the citizens of Federal Heights. We appreciate all you do for our citizens.

The City of Federal Heights Public Works department is currently working on a water main leak at 10022 Alcott St.  The north half of Alcott St. will be without water service and Alcott St. will be closed to through traffice while repairs take place.  Repairs are expected to be completed sometime this evening, barring any major complications.

W. 84^th Pl. in Northmoor was closed on Monday – 9/17/12 from Kalamath St. to Inca Ct. by our contractor, Northern Colorado Constructors, for work on water and sewer main and service line replacement in that area. It will remain closed while construction takes place through the end of October. The contractor will begin with sewer main related work and is expected to start on the water main replacement on October 4^th. Federal Heights Public Works will advise further as water mains are shut-down to facilitate installation and tie-in of the new water main that is to be installed in this area.

Update: The water main break was fixed at 12:05 AM on 7/11/12, and 100th Ave. was reopened to traffic at about 3:00 AM.  Thank you to our Public Works crew for working through the night to get the problem solved!

Public Works informs us that we have a water main leak on W. 100^th Ave. in between Beach St. and Bryant St.

W. 100^th Ave. is closed at the above noted area and traffic will be detoured around the work zone. The water is off along W. 100^th Ave. in between Zuni St. and Bryant St. and approximately 8 homes from 2520 to 2534 W. 100^th Ave. will be without water service while repairs take place. Hydrant #1125 at W. 100^th Ave. & Beach St. will also be out of service.
